People shared the highlights of yesterday’s Music City Walk of Fame ceremony and the highlights of Faith & Tim reaching 20 years as a couple!

Could this week get any bigger for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill? On Tuesday, they played their first Ryman Auditorium concert to a rapturous crowd and announced their first joint tour since 2007. On Wednesday, each received a star on Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame. And on Thursday, they celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.

So what anniversary revelry do they have planned to match the rest of their banner week?

“That’s easy,” McGraw, 49, said in an interview after the Walk of Fame ceremony, and he motioned to his wife to announce their big plans.

“Okay, I will tell you,” Hill, 49, said. “We are going to be in sweats on the couch watching some TV show we gotta find.”

“We’re gonna binge-watch something,” McGraw added with relish. “And I’ve made a request, but I don’t know if I’m gonna get away with it or not — I want cornbread and peas.”

Hill’s deadpan expression seemed to suggest McGraw may be getting carry-out. “That would be me cooking cornbread and peas,” she said and paused. “We’ll see.”

After two such high-profile days, it’s understandable that the couple wants to kick back, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t proud of their marital milestone.

Twenty years, said Hill, feels “good. It feels like one, like our first-year anniversary.”

“I agree, baby, I do,” McGraw said. “It’s awesome. It’s an accomplishment, you know. It really is.”

And the added pressure of being a celebrity couple also isn’t lost on McGraw: “In our business, it really is like 80 years. I kind of look at it as ‘dog years.’”

Earlier, at the Walk of Fame ceremony in a downtown park, McGraw paid tribute to Hill in his acceptance speech, recalling that “the best thing that happened to me” occurred in 1996 when the two ended up on tour together. “I fought and I fought and I fought to stay away from her as long as I could,” he said, before giving up within a couple of weeks. “I’m not going to go into detail, but it was a great tour, I can tell you that.”

The event drew hundreds of fans, friends, family members, and dignitaries, including Reba McEntire, who separately introduced the honorees. (Hill’s history with the Hall of Famer extends back to a long-ago job at McEntire’s company, packing up fan merchandise.)

McGraw’s and Hill’s side-by-side granite stars are the 73rd and 74th to be awarded for contributions to Nashville’s musical heritage, and the city obviously is close to both singers’ hearts.

“We are a small community, yes,” Hill said in her remarks. “We are growing, yes, but we will always remain just good old-fashioned folk that welcome people from around the globe, and that’s what makes me so proud to be a Nashvillian. That is what makes me so proud — Tim and I both — to raise our children here.”

In his speech, McGraw remembered his days when he “sang all over this town.”

“That’s what we all did,” he said. “We all ran around together — Kenny [Chesney], Tracy [Lawrence] — we all ran around together and played bars together and we had a great time. … I knew when I moved here that whether I was going to be toting somebody’s guitar case or if I was going to be pushing a road case around, this is what I would be doing for the rest of my life. And this is where I was gonna live. I hope that I can grow old and die in my bed in Nashville, Tennessee.”

Anyone else super excited!?!?!?!?!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will tour together in 2017. The country music super couple made the announcement on Tuesday night (Oct. 4) at the opening of their not-so-secret show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

“We are going back on the road, on tour! We are going to go from side to side, north to north, all the way around the globe!” Hill told the Ryman crowd and also 22,000 fans tuned in to the Facebook Live broadcast of the event.

“We’ve been looking to this for a long, long time,” McGraw added, joking, “We got all y’all together just to tell y’all that, now we’re going home.”
The massive 65-city 2017 Soul2Soul World Tour starts April 7, 2017 in New Orleans, La., and wraps in October 2017 in New York City. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting this Friday (Oct. 7), with general on-sale on Oct. 14.

This is the married couple’s third major tour together, the most recent being their 2006 Soul2Soul II Tour that played amphitheaters nationwide. This run celebrates the 10th anniversary of that tour. Since then Hill and McGraw have shared a stage a number of times for individual performances and during a residency in Las Vegas.
The couple surprised fans Monday morning with a show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, announcing that tickets would go on sale at 10AM. Within minutes, it was sold out, and the assumption was that this concert was simply a way to celebrate 20 years of marriage. The country couple’s wedding anniversary is on Friday (Oct. 6), and they’ve been sharing photos and moments from their personal lives on social media for the last month.

The original McGraw/Hill Soul2Soul Tour came in 2000, when both stars were at the peak of their commercial careers. McGraw has been very active lately, releasing an album every 18 months since early 2013 and charting a number of songs at or near the top of the airplay charts. Hill has done very little touring and hasn’t released a single since 2012. Her last studio album was Fireflies, released in 2005. It’s not clear if new music will accompany the 2017 Soul2Soul World Tour.

McGraw and Hill have more time to make music now that two of their three daughters are away at college. The “How I’ll Always Be” singer recently talked to Taste of Country about 20 years of marriage, saying the most important lesson he’s learned is to “Listen!”

This video gives me chills! So proud of the fact that Faith was asked to be apart of this tremendous collaboration.

In celebration of “The 50th Annual CMA Awards,” CMA has created the biggest music video in Country Music history. Titled “Forever Country,” the single and accompanying music video features 30 CMA Award-winning acts. This single was produced by CMA Board member and CMA Award winner Shane McAnally and the video was directed by Grammy Award-winning director Joseph Kahn.

Good Morning America gives us a sneek peak of the making of the Forever Country Video.

In a historic event, 30 of country music’s biggest stars have come together to create a music video called “Forever Country” in honor of the 50th annual CMA Awards.

The star-studded medley features a fresh take on three of country’s most classic songs: John Denver’s “Take Me Home,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always love You.” Denver, Nelson and Parton have all won the coveted title of CMA Entertainers of the Year.

“Good Morning America” got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the historic video. Watch it below:
